Prevention and treatment of Scabies
It can be prevented by avoiding the skin contact of infected person.
It can be prevented by avoiding the contact with blood and clothes of infected person.
It can be treated by anti scabies soap, creams and ointments.
Examples of anti scabies medications
Permethrin- Mostly 5% permethrin soap and permethrin creams are used in the treatment of scabies.
Ivermectin- It is indicated for treatment of scabies.
Sulfur ointment- It is also indicated for treatment of scabies, it for topical use only.
Crotamiton- It is for topical use, for the treatment of scabies, but it is not suitable for children.
Lindane- Mostly 1% lindane lotion is used in the treatment of Lindane.
